Maroon meaning: To leave (someone) trapped and alone in an inaccessible place, especially and island.

The Maroon is a concept for a comic strip and/or comedy short. Here we follow a strange large man who is attempting to escape a deserted island, but is continually thwarted by a small territorial crab.

Geoffrey
Our hunchbacked main character, who has been marooned on a small deserted island.

Despite his lacking diet, poor living conditions and an unhealthy seaweed obsession, he still manages to keep putting on weight. But don't let his big size scare you, as he is quite innocent when you get to know him.

Not that you will be able to, because he is only capable of expressing himself with

grunts, screams and other

non-verbal signaling.

But that might be due to the massive unexplainable dent in his skull.

The Crab
A small species of crab that serves as the natural guardian of the island. Keeping it safe and secure from any kind of foreign contaminant. This includes but is not limited to: Large birds, fishes and beasts,
but also Geoffrey.

This small creature is despite its small size quite resilient. And is a lot smarter than you think. Often outthinking its opponents with regular ease. However it can be easily distracted and bribed with shrimp.
And can if needed be shortly contained in a strong enough cage.

It's a lively and social creature. Often making rhythmic snapping sounds with its claws when happy or amused. The snapping sound also serves as a method of communication.

The ISLAND
This remote deserted island is the grand stage where man and nature fight the ultimate battle of survival. To be more specific; the battle of Geoffrey and the Crab.

This leftover pile of sand is home to various creatures, but its most iconic resident is a sunburnt coconut tree.
